19.04 Solheim Cup:
Nye regler for uttak
Fra LET har vi mottatt følgende pressemelding vedrørende regler for uttak:

THE 2007 SOLHEIM CUP
Halmstad Golfklubb, Halmstad, Sweden
European Team Selection
The 2007 European Solheim Cup Team will consist of 12 Members of the Ladies European Tour, comprising:

The top 5 players from the LET Solheim Cup points, followed by the top 4 LET members appearing on the Rolex Women’s World Rankings at the agreed cut off date, plus 3 Captain’s Selections.

LET Solheim Cup points are awarded to players finishing in the top 10 at all LET Ranking events from the ANZ Masters 2006 through to a date to be confirmed on the 2007 schedule.  The points’ tables are as follows:

§    The following events will receive an additional weighting of twice the standard distribution in each year:Women’s British Open  and Evian Masters

§         In addition any other LET Ranking tournament with a prizefund of €500,000 or above will each receive an additional weighting of 1½ times the standard distribution in each year.

 

Current events which fall into this category for 2006 are:
Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open
Scandinavian TPC hosted by Annika
Wales Ladies Championship of Europe

§         Any LET Member who finishes in the top ten in the following LPGA Majors will receive the standard distribution in each year:
US Women’s Open
Kraft Nabisco Championship
McDonald’s LPGA Championship

Please note that the above LPGA events will NOT COUNT towards the 6 Ranking events during the qualifying period required to be eligible for selection 
To be eligible for selection a player must:
1.       Play in 6 LET Ranking events during the qualifying period as a Member of the Tour.
2.       Be a European National.  Any person who holds dual nationality shall not be eligible unless born in Europe.
3.    If a player becomes eligible during the qualifying period, points will only be awarded from such date.
