International Forum Golf Challenge
Hi, my name is Aureliano and i'm writing from Italy. Sorry but I don't speak your language (my english is not so perfect too!).
This is my first post and first of all I would like to thank you for the hospitality.
I have just an idea to propose you.
In italy (Milan exactly) there's a popular golf forum (www.nextgolf.it) that it is interested to organize a golf challenge with other european golf community. We are playing against other italian golf community (a sort of ryder cup) and we spend a wonderful moments of golf in terms of friendship, challenge, golfcourse...in few words in terms of GOLF!!!
I have already conctacted forum communities from Spain,Holland, England,French, Swedish, Finnish and they are really interested ad enthusiastic: we are already thinking and proposing ideas about organization.
Till now Spanish, Dutch and English have already confirmed to be in!!
Are you interested to developed something about that??
I just can say to you that we would prefer to play in Italy (maybe in Summer 2008...July for instance) the First International Forum Golf Cup (just to respect to the "father" of idea...eh...ehm..that's me ). But any decisions will be taken all together!!
Please visit our italian golf forum (www.nextgolf.it) and get registering (just if you want). Others european golfers have already got registering and they are discussing with us (in english) in "FORUM CHALLENGE CUP" section!
Let me know if we can discuss about it!!

007: I never heard about that tournament but Spanish, Dutch, English, German, French have already confirmed to be in aur Forum Golf Cup (if you are interested)
It could be wonderful to have a norwegian team! :-)

GOLF FORUM INTERNATIONAL CUP RULES
The competition will be performed over 3 days (18 holes per day) and it will play under Medal Scratch and Handicap rules.
We are going to play in Bogogno Golf Course on Summer 2008 (July). It should be on friday, saturday and sunday or thursday, friday and saturday.We will define the exact data!
No limitation on players number.
The titles are: European Forum Single’s Championship and European Forum Team’s Championship.
EUROPEAN FORUM SINGLE'S CHAMPIONSHIP
Single match players will be subdivided into 5 categories under EGA Handicap System Rules.
Categories are: 0/4.4 – 4.5/11.4 – 11.5 – 18.4 – 18.5/26.4 – 26.5/36
The prizes will be awarded to 1st Best Gross Score and 1st and 2nd Best Net Scores of each category.
The 1st Best Gross Score Winner of each category will be the European Forum Single’s Champion of that category.
If there are at least 20 women players, a Ladies Ranking with 3 prizes for gross scores and 3 prizes for net scores will be established. The 1st Best Gross Score Winner will be the European Forum Women’s Champion
EUROPEAN FORUM TEAM'S CHAMPIONSHIP
European Forum Team’s Championship will be played with teams made up of 4 players.
In case of reaching a maximum number of players, consideration will be given to play even on second golf course (Bogogno golf course has 36 holes).
European Forum Team’s Championship game ranking will be made by the daily total of the best three individual scores from each team. The lowest score will be rejected. The best total score (over 3 days) will name the European Forum Team’s Champion.
Team must have a minimum of 3 players to participate in the European Forum Team Championship.
No difference will exist between ladies and gentlemen; they will share in the team competition.
The prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd Best Gross Scores Team and 1st, 2nd, 3rd Best Net Scores Team.
The Team Winners (gross and net) will be the European Forum Team’s Champions.
GENERAL FEATURES
Gentleman will start from white tees and ladies will start from black tees
A single player may participate in the event (without belonging to a team), however may only play in the European Forum Single’s Championship
A Putting green contest and driving contest will be organized
5 Winners of the European Forum Single’s Championship and 2 (teams) Winners of the European Forum Team’s Championship (gross score ranking and net score ranking) will be announced at the conclusion of the event.

• 54 holes medal (team and singles challenges). Rules already posted

• Dinner on 26 July at the Golf Club

If someone is coming to Italy with family or friends, please indicate (more or less) the total number.

Tipper dette er en type "Nigeria-brev", her lukter svindel!
Litt for "overbevisende" og billig til å være sant. Bare 200 euro for 4 greenfee + middag, den må man gå lenger på landet med. Tipper at det er forhåndsinnbetaling av avgiften, og at man etterpå enten ikke høre noe mer, eller blir bedt om å betale inn mer.

både forumet og banen virker autentiske. Samme info ute på spansk forum, nederland, tyskland, scangolf....
