Ncik Watneys 11'er på det 2. hullet
11 slag på et par 5 hull er ikke dagligdags på PGA Tour'en. Nick Watney gjorde det mandag. Slik:
How Watney made an 11 at par-5 2nd
NORTON, Mass. – Nick Watney, No. 3 in FedExCup points, took a 11 on the par-5 second hole that eliminated his chances of winning the Deutsche Bank Championship.
Here’s how it broke down:
1. Watney’s tee shot went 320 yards and landed 223 yards from the pin
2. Landed in the primary rough 34 yards from the pin
3. Landed over the green in the primary rough, leaving him a difficult lie
4. Landed in the water.
5-6-7. Upset at the shot, Watney hit his club into the ground. That produced a two-stroke penalty for grounding his club in a hazard. He also suffered a one-stroke penalty for hitting into the water.
8. From the drop area 112 yards from the pin, his shot lands 23 feet, 3 inches from the pin
9. Putt to 3 feet, 6 inches
10. Rolls putt 2 feet, 9 inches past the hole
11. Makes putt
Watney was not aware that he grounded his club until Mark Russell, PGA TOUR vice president of rules and competition, informed him as they walked up the fairway at the 10th fairway. That turned Watney’s 9 into an 11.
As a result, Watney went from 8 under to 2 under in one hole.
