12.01 LET kvalifisering:
Alle de tre norske kom seg videre til hoved-kvalet
Det var bra uttelling for våre spillere. Alle tre går videre til den siste
kvalifiseringen som starter søndag.
Det var til slutt 72 spillere som gikk videre. Både Benedicte Grøtvedt og Lene
Krog kom med på siste slaget, mens Caroline Martens ble nr 16 i sin gruppe. Det
var 204 spillere som kjempet om de 72 plassene i dette forkvalet.
Det skal spilles fem runder for de 101 spillerne som er kvalifisert for
finalekvalet. Det er cut etter fire runder.

The first hurdle in the LET’s Qualifying School marathon has been cleared with
72 players having graduated to the Final Stage.
A 90-hole test now awaits 101 players who will play the Final Stage at La Manga
Club in Cartagena, Murcia, Spain, from Sunday.
The field will play both the North and South Courses for the first four rounds
with a cut to the leading 50 players and ties after 72 holes. The final round,
which will determine exemption categories for the 2012 season, will then be
played on the South course.
At stake is a place on The 2012 Ladies European Tour for the cream of the crop.
The players will all be eyeing a place in the top 30 to secure eligibility for
LET Membership in Category 8a.
After the final round, players who made the cut but finished in position 31 or
below will be ranked according to score and will be eligible for LET Membership
in Category 9b.
Players who fail to make the 72 hole cut will be eligible for Category 11a
Membership of the Ladies European Tour for the 2012 season.
Esther Choe of the United States won the group A tournament at Pre-Qualifying,
coming out as the best of the 35 qualifiers from that field at La Manga Club on
Wednesday, 11th January.
She shot rounds of 71, 76, 66 and 67 to finish on eight under par, four clear of
England’s Jodi Ewart. The cut off was 11 over par.
Meanwhile England’s Hannah Burke won the group B competition, where 37 players
qualified at 12 over par or better. Burke shot rounds of 74, 69, 67 and 67 over
the South, North, South and North course at La Manga Club respectively. She
ended 11 under par and six shots ahead of Swede Karin Sjodin.

Det spilles i to grupper på La Manga i kvalet til LET. Caroline Martens hadde
en 69-runde tirsdag.
69-runden førte henne opp til 7. plass etter tre runder.
Benedicte Grøtvedt har 77 75 73 ette de tre første rundene.
Lene Krog har 75 72 75 og er på 17. plass etter tr erunder.

Tøft å gå videre
Kvalet til LET er i full gang. 204 damer spiller på to baner. De 35 beste på
hver bane etter fire runder går inn i hoved-kvalet over fem runder. Her får de
30 beste kortet til neste års LET. Ingen ties.
Her er kvalifiseringsreglene:
Qualifying School is being played over two stages. Pre-Qualifying takes place
over four rounds from January 8-11, followed by Final Qualifying over five
rounds from January 15-19.
At Pre-Qualifying, entrants have been split into two fields: A and B. Field A
will play the courses in the order of North, South, North, South and Field B
will play the courses in the order of South, North, South, North.
There are 72 holes scheduled per field with the leading 35 players and ties from
each field going through to the final stage. Players who do not make the final
stage will be eligible for Membership in Category 11b. Every effort will be made
to complete four rounds including the extension of play into the 12th January
2012, otherwise a result will be declared if only three or two rounds are
possible.
At Final Qualifying, 90 holes of play are scheduled. The field will play over
both the North and South Courses with the final round on the South. There will
be a cut to the leading 50 players and ties after 72 holes.
Players who fail to make the 72 hole cut will be eligible for Membership in
Category 11a.
After the final round the top 30 players will be eligible for LET Membership in
Category 8a and will be ranked in final score order; if necessary a play-off
will take place to establish 1st and 30th position.
After the final round players who have made the cut and finish in positions 31
and below will be ranked according to score and be eligible for Membership in
Category 9b.
Except to establish 1st and 30th spot, a card count back will be used to rank
all tied scores: best last 18 holes, best last 54 holes, best first 36 holes,
best last 9, 6, 3, 2 and 1 holes (holes 10 to 18).
Any player who makes the cut but subsequently withdraws due to injury or illness
will be offered the last position in category 9b. Every effort will be made to
complete five (5) rounds including the extension of play into 20th January 2012,
otherwise a result will be declared if only four (4) or three (3) rounds are
possible.

Det spilles i to grupper på La Manga i kvalet til LET. Det ble en helt OK dag
for våre tre spillere.
Lene Krog spilte seg opp fra 22. plass til 17. plass etter en fin 72 runde
mandag.
Caroline Martens har 72 75 og ligger på en 15. plass i gruppe A. Her har
Benedicte Grøtvedt 77 75 på en 40. plass.

08.01 LET kvalifisering:
Mange med i kvalet - ingen knallstart for de norske
Det spilles i to grupper på La Manga i kvalet til LET. Ingen av de norske hadde
superstart.
Norge har med
tre spillere. Lene Krog startet bra på de første ni, men 34 41 var ujevnt på den
først runden. Hun er nr 23 i gruppe B, men alle hadde ikke spilt ferdig den
første runden:
I Gruppe A hadde Caroline Martens 72 på en 15. plass. Heller ikke her hadde alle
scorene kommet inn søndag ettermiddag. Benedicte Grøtvedt lå på 72. plass med 77
slag. Det er 102 spillere med på hver av banene.

tre spillere.
