The world's leading golf coach, Butch Harmon, whose former pupils include Greg
Norman, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, is the latest big name to choose the
Foresight Sports Game Changer 2 (GC2), stating the technology is "the best we've
ever used".
Harmon, who features on our screens regularly as a Sky Sports pundit, has
selected the GC2 - along with its sibling HMT Head Measurement Technology - as
the fitting and instruction technology for his world-renowned teaching
facilities.
Harmon, who is also well known for his coaching books and monthly instructional
column in Golf Digest magazine, said: "At the Butch Harmon Schools of Golf we've
tried every kind of launch monitor in the business, and there's nothing that can
compare with the GC2. It's far and away the best we've ever used.
"We use it for teaching, for club-fitting … you can even use it for wedge work
and I've found it's a fantastic tool to give the students a look at what the
club looks like at impact and how much spin you're putting on the ball on every
type of shot."
Harmon - who owns and operates Butch Harmon Schools of Golf in the USA, Macau
and Dubai - has already incorporated the Foresight Sports GC2 and HMT
technologies into the daily fitting and instructional programmes at his school
in Las Vegas, and will install them at the Floridian in Palm City, Florida.
The 71-year-old - who has also worked with other Major champions such as Ernie
Els, Stewart Cink, Davis Love III, Fred Couples and Justin Leonard and with
younger stars such as Rickie Fowler, Adam Scott, Natalie Gulbis, and, most
recently, Jimmy Walker and Brandt Snedeker - was voted ‘top instructor' in a
poll of his peers conducted by Golf Digest for the last 14 years.
A spokesman for Foresight Sports Europe, the distributor for the UK, Europe,
Middle East and Africa, said:

very exciting that he has chosen GC2 and HMT for his facilities worldwide."
Harmon is the latest big-name US golf coach to switch to Foresight Sports
technology. Only last year, the Golf Channel's host of School of Golf, and the
2008 PGA National Teacher of the Year, Martin Hall, switched to Foresight
Sports' technology for use in his coaching, analysis and personal practice.
And, in the UK, the last three Foremost Golf ‘professionals of the year' award
winners have each credited Foresight Sports' GC2 for revolutionising their
business. And it is GC2 technology which drives Sky Sports Shot Centre on the
broadcaster's weekly PGA Tour coverage.
The GC2 - which directly measures all essential ball data at launch using
ultra-high-speed cameras - and HMT, which, independently, directly measures all
critical club data, is the most in-demand technology in golf, having
revolutionised club fitting and analysis since its launch in 2010. It was
swiftly approved and recommended by many of the world's leading club
manufacturers including Titleist, Cleveland/Srixon, Cobra/Puma, PING and
TaylorMade and dozens of other leading brands within the golf industry. Leading
High St golf retailer American Golf has also installed GC2 in 35 of its stores -
including its newest outlets in Oxford and the recently opened flagship store in
Monument, London.
Foresight's technology images the exact movement of the dimple patterns on the
golf ball, to ensure pure, accurate, reliable data, making it the only
technology suitable for all seasons and conditions - whether indoors or on the
range - and is the only launch monitor able to provide trusted data for every
club, every shot, every player and every swing, all to the highest accuracy
levels in the industry.
It's now accepted, even by advocates of previous-generation radar equipment,
that if you intend to work indoors, even for a proportion of your coaching or
fitting hours, the technology choice has to be Foresight.
