Her er utstyret Adam Scott brukte i Masters
Det snakkes mye om utstyr i golf. Det tillegges generelt alt for liten
vekt i Norge å spille med godt tilpasset utstyr. Blant de beste spillerne brukes
det mye tid og krefter på dette. De ulike merkene kan stort sett levere bra
utstyr.
Vinneren av Masters Adam Scott er Titleist-spiller. Han brukte en ny Titleist
913D3 driver for første gang. Angel Cabrera, som tapte i play off på det andre
omspillshullet, er Ping-spiller med reklame for de nye G25-køllene på capsen.
På PGA Tourens hjemmeside kan vi lese følgende:
Using a new Titleist 913D3 driver for the first time in competition, Adam Scott
became the first player from Australia to win the Masters. Scott used a full bag
of Titleist clubs, as well as a Titleist Pro V1 ball, to shoot 3-under 69 and
defeat Angel Cabrera in a playoff.
While the driver was the only equipment change Scott made before the first round,
he did have a couple interesting clubs in the bag -- including a Titleist 712U
forged utility 2-iron that boasts a forged, hollow-body 1025 steel construction
with a high-speed 455 carpenter steel face insert. The deep center of gravity is
positioned for a higher moment of inertia that delivers increased stability and
playability when compared to a traditional long iron.
Scott also started working with a Scotty Cameron for Titleist Futura X prototype
earlier this year. The 52-inch Futura is a high-MOI putter that includes
eight-way adjustable weights.
“I’ve worked pretty hard with Scotty Cameron on a putter this year,” Scott said.
“I had a kind of backyard garage prototype in my bag for a couple of tournaments,
but now it looks more like a production model. I’m excited about it.”
